Services for Elder Adults at South Pas Senior Cente

The South Pasadena Police Department is holding workshops at the South Pasadena Senior Center to make older adults aware of those who prey on them with the intention of stealing their identities.  Officer Richard Lee will offer one on Wednesday, July 31 at 10:30 a.m. titled “Avoiding Scams”.
Reservations are necessary and may be made by calling the center.
Carlos Arcos, an attorney who specializes in elder law, provides information on finding and paying for convalescent care.  He is available for a 15-minute free consultation by appointment, which may be made by calling the center.

The Senior Center offers Dial-A-Ride to residents age 55 and older Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.  Appointments need to be made 24 hours in advance by calling (626) 403-7368 and fare is 50 cents per ride.
The free movie on Friday, July 26, at 1 p.m. is “Promised Land.”  No reservation is needed.
