Green Brooms Music Academy Opens in South Pas

grand openingSUPPORTING KIDSPACE MUSEUM – Green Brooms Music Academy officially opened its doors with a grand opening celebration last Sunday. As part of the festivities, the new business at 803 Fremont Avenue (Hope Street and Fremont) offered 30-minute private instrument lessons for only $10, a $28 savings. Green Brooms caters to beginners, intermediate and advanced, featuring lessons in voice, piano, guitar, violin, drums, bass, mandolin, ukulele, music theory and cello. All proceeds from Sunday’s $10 special went to Kidspace in Pasadena. Some of those on hand for Sunday’s ribbon cutting were, from left, Jacqueline Wu, representing State Senator Carol Liu; Gerald Phillips, representing Assemblyman Chris Holden; Bob Joe, councilman for the City of South Pasadena; Dr. Richard Schneider, mayor for the City of South Pasadena; Green Brooms Music Academy owners Gyllian and Manuel Lorzano, holding daughter Iris, and Rebecca Carr.
