Car owners were asked to pay a small fee to showcase their vehicles while major sponsors supported the show.
Ted Shaw, co-chair of the big attraction, estimates that more than $20,000 will be raised to help pay for South Pasadena’s float in the 2014 Tournament of Roses Parade on New Year’s Day.
In addition to the car show, the South Pasadena police and fire departments held their annual open house. The days events featured safety information, police, canine demonstrations, vendor displays, giveaways and tours of both the police and fire departments
Police officials took free photos and fingerprints of children with parents. The family outing allowed kids to climb into the seat of police cars and motorcycles, see the inner-workings of a fire engine and view helicopters from ground level.
